Truck update: not fixed. Parts wouldn't come in until tomorrow (Sat) and fixed maybe by Monday. By then we were supposed to be almost to Valdez, AK. Jeff contacted a dealership in Anchorage and they ordered the parts (or most of them), and we'll drop it off after July 5th when we get to Anchorage. Prayers that all works out!
West Thumb Geyser Basin was about 5 minutes from our campground so after paying to do a lot of laundry in one hour and getting the coach travel-ready, we made it there.
As soon as we walked out to the boardwalk, I looked at Jeff and said, "This is where we took the picture hanging in our bedroom!!!!" Now--we couldn't remember the exact spot, so we improvised!
The springs and paint pots in this area were so colorful and thankfully didn't smell as bad as the others.
This was a perfect way to end our Yellowstone trip. Out of both trips Jeff and I have made, we've never made it to the Tower/Roosevelt/Mammoth Hot Springs area. With the length of time it takes to get anywhere in YNSP and the fact that we have 4.5 days of almost solid driving after we leave, we decided it was okay for our mental health to not be in the car more than we had to be! Maybe one day we'll get back!
Prayers for safe travels into and through Canada in the next few days!
**Jeff and Ry were in the coach and Bennett was with me in the rental car behind them. Jeff forgot to stop at the Yellowstone sign but I turned around and got these b)c I wasn't leaving without them!
Bennett waits for NO posing....🤦
