Baby Crack

Everyone has their weaknesses. I have several, and they all revolve around eating (are you shocked???). Sometimes they change with the season. For example:
  • Summer/Fall Crack = sweet tea and any type of ice cream (specifically Blue Bell, Baskin Robins, Chic-Fil-A, or Dairy Queen)
  • Fall/Winter Crack = crock pot soups, hot chocolate,
I've discovered a new type of crack. Baby crack. I'm not talking about the crack in the back. I'm talking about things I think I can no longer live without now that my sweet boy has shown me the light! Here are the things that make my "Baby Crack" list:
  1. Freshly shampooed hair after bath time (especially if it's Johnson & Johnson)
  2. Johnson & Johnson baby lotion--it smells even better when I rub it on Bennett while singing the song I made up for him just for this occasion!
  3. Bennett's laugh. His first laugh was one where he inhaled and squealed at the same time, and that's his standard one he starts off with if it's a big one. He also has this deep "heh, heh, heh" laugh that truly sounds like an adult one! Both of them are the best and I can't hear them enough!
  4. Bennett's "talking". He is definitely my child. He talks all the time. I talk back to him too--research says you are supposed to tell your baby what's around them, things they see/hear/smell/taste/touch, etc. So I do. Plus some. Today I told him that the dress the lady wore on What Not to Wear was really tacky. He gave me his squeal laugh in return to show he agreed with me. I'm trying to raise him to have good taste. I think it's working!
  5. Red hair. Bennett has Jeff's exact same hair. Exact. Both of our paternal grandmothers have/had red hair, and I was really hoping for Bennett to have it too, so I'm really excited he does. Now whenever I see a redheaded baby/kid, I just stare because now I think they're the best! (But if we ever have a #2 and it's a girl, I want her to be blonde like me...I'm sure it will all work out that way, right???)
  6. Taking pictures of Bennett. So...most of his day is spent eating, sleeping, and pooping. Why do I have tons of pictures then? It's because he's so dang adorable that I can't help it!
