Pardon Me

If you're expecting the usual positive note from me, then skip ahead to the next blog you're addicted to reading--or is that just me??? This 1st one today is for the "Negative Nelly" in me. Notice I'm posting 2 blogs today so it's at the bottom--that may curb some readers as well! (Don't you like how I think everyone reads this....like it's the best thing of their day???) :)

Everything's going to be in list form, and all sentences start with...."Pardon me"...

1. ... but I don't have kids so when you're doing something 1/2 way for me and 1/2 way for you and then you tell me that you're sitting there doing my stuff while your child is screaming...don't expect me to get said child. Remember.....I'm not the mommy and when I do things I think I should (such as comforting a child) I've gotten yelled at before b/c that's not the way you do it. I won't do it again without permission. Good Pavlov Dog.

2. ...but yes, I am a damn good person with kids and don't understand some of your ways. I haven't criticized you YET, so please don't tell me "Well....just wait until you have kids...." I am already 100% aware (notice I said aware, not prepared) that my life will change--until then...I'm happy the way I am and look forward to the way I will get paid back for all the suffering I caused mom and dad!

3. ...but when I offer and offer and offer and offer and offer and offer (get the picture)...believe me, the offers are stopping after this one. I'm 30 years old and you know what---I'm happy with my life and the home I've created---YOU can come visit me next time.

4. ...but when I'm excited about possibly doing something different for my wedding but "I just haven't found IT yet", don't tell me that I can do the exact same thing you and C did and it will be "different b/c it's got your name on it". Not what I had in mind. I guess I'll stop the wedding talk with everyone because I obviously can't handle the negativity when I get a response.

You hang in there Steph!

And remember it's YOUR day -- so do whatever you want at your wedding.

And as for kids -- whatever that was referring to -- just stand your ground. You're a good person, afterall! Not Negative Nelly.
