Desert Oasis?

Almost half of the month of May was spent in 100+ degree temps. May. The 5th month of the year. CRAZY!  We are SO lucky to have a pool at our RV park but since we like to get away even on Jeff's full weekends off, we are now looking for places with water!

Jeff found Senator Wash--a reservoir type area with camping/boating spots as he was looking on Google Maps, so off we headed!  It is part of the BLM (Bureau of Land Management) so although it wasn't groomed to some specifications that I'd rather have (like easy water access instead of having to walk through thistles and reeds), it was in good condition for parking our trailer and having fun for a few days!  We even met some friendlies with kids, which was a plus!

Driving by date farms on the way there!  Must go back to get fresh dates and a date shake--apparently they're the thing to get!

Morning bike ride---beautiful weather!

Bennett is in his element!  Total water kid--especially with a bucket!

Cautious on the slippery rocks--next time we'll bring some floats!

The most recent pic of our rig--otherwise known as HOME!
