If you live in Texas, you know that springtime is bluebonnet time! It's probably my favorite time of year to take drives because everywhere you go, you see fields of wildflowers. The most beautful though, are the bluebonnets--and anything that happens to be mixed in with them!
Since the weekend is the best time for us to take pics and those have been pretty busy, I knew we'd wait until Easter to take the pics with the bluebonnets since areas around Cuero usually have a lot. We went out to a friend's place, and although I can't say we got the best bluebonnet pics, we got a lot of fun pics!
That was the good news. The bad news: Bennett is apparently allergic to some type of pollen we were around. Mind you, we stuck him in a field of flowers in the middle of the countryside, so it's anyone's guess as to what it is! I'd given him his inhaler before we left, but even that didn't seem to help. I'd fed him on the way to take pictures and about 20 minutes after we were done, he was having so much trouble breathing that he threw up everything he ate. Poor guy! Really scared us though, so our plan is to carry the inhaler with us no matter where we go or when we gave it to him last.
Here are some of my favorite pics from the bluebonnets:
