Well, okay. This isn't quite the type of facial you're thinking of. I got 2 facials over the past 4 days compliments of the croup that Bennett has.
Facial #1 was on a cool night, so the sweltering temps in the upstairs bathroom while we had tummy time and laughed in the foggy mirror didn't bother me (or Bennett). This afternoon's temps of a sunny 80 degrees outside made me re-think my wardrobe as I sweated it out and Bennett slept in my arms.
Facial #1
We used to own only a cool mist humidifier. We now own a vaporizer too (that has now decorated the walls in B's room with some lovely drips--guess the dr. was right!!) and all the stuff that goes with it. It's amazing how I'll skip something for me, but if it affects Bennett, I make sure we get it! I would never have bought the vaporizer for just me! (And no....I still don't know which one is better for croup---the dr. said he needed the mist, so we've tried both cool and warm. Time will tell I guess!)
Croup = more laundry (I will NOT have germs lingering!)
Croup = sleepy baby (I got to cook a meal today!)
Croup = Nose Frida (A.K.A. the "snot sucker"---Jeff won't use it, but I LOVE it since I can't get anything out with the bulb syringe!)
Croup = sick eyes (poor thing looked like this a majority of Sunday even though he slept most of it)
Croup = more drool (now after the events of the past 2 days I know that the excess drool is because he had to breathe through his mouth since he couldn't breathe through his nose)
Croup = a more talkative Bennett (because of the breathing through his mouth he practiced making sounds as well, which made us think he was a lot happier/feeling better than he actually was!)
Our Bennett is a little trouper because of the events of his first illness. Another post will be about that in detail. We were just so amazed at how happy he was the entire time and are so thankful that he did so well! We love our little angel!
