Update #1
Jeff and I are in College Station riding out the storm with my aunt and uncle. We came in late Thursday night--we had already been planning on coming Friday morning but after watching the path of Ike change, we headed out that evening instead.
As of 11am this morning, I've heard from my neighbor that my house only had limb damage in the back yard and not much else, but he was out of power. However a friend's mom's home about 4 blocks away did have power as of about 10:45am. So...I either have it--or don't!
Please say a prayer for Jeff's home on Lake Conroe. The eye went basically right over that area and although he does have insurance, he has no way of knowing of damage until he is able to get there to check it out.
Until we know further, we will stay in B/CS and I'll keep updating the blog as much as I can.
Stay safe!

I'm in Shiner with Robert and my family. Stephanie had power at her house in Katy until about 4 pm TODAY. Crazy. Robert's brother and the boys neither have power -- so assume the worst for you but I'm hoping for the best for all of us.
My office -- who knows. Someone said they heard that One Allen Center (my office bldg) had desks flying out of it. I've not heard or found any more info on that -- so if you've heard something similar -- please let me know.
