We're Engaged!

Jeff proposed! He did it Sunday, February 17th in Cuero in my parent's backyard before we went to church. Here's the full story: he'd originally told me that we were not going to go to church because he wanted to get back to Katy so he could work on my bathroom remodel. No problem with me and the parents were fine with that. However, he told me later that he had to change his plans because I "didn't look nice enough to propose to" in my school t-shirt, yoga pants, and tennis shoes!

So...he told me we were now going to go to church (I didn't question it much because we've been talking about how we really need to be better about going), so I got dressed and all ready to go. However...my Jeffery forgot a belt, which meant I had to go get one from dad and when I did, I hung out in my parent's bathroom getting all beautiful by fixing my hair while he waited patiently for me to return with the belt (not knowing he was actually just standing there waiting!). After we were both ready, he took me outside and proposed!

Of course, typical Stephanie, I kept asking him, "You're doing it now?", "This is for real?", "You mean I'm going to go to school tomorrow with a ring on?", and all he could keep saying was, "Yes", "Yes", and "You have to let me finish first!"

We're so excited to begin this journey together and will keep things updated on this blog. Don't get too confused by the title--I won't be updating it daily by any means!
