Bennett William Dickens was born at 4:06pm on Sunday, August 7th! He weighed 7 lbs 4 oz and was 20 inches long!
We were getting ready to go to church to hear Natalie Grant lead the worship service and we'd told Bennett he'd have to stay put so we could do this. He had other plans though! My water broke as I was cleaning up breakfast, and after calling Ashley and the nurse at my doctor's office, we determined it REALLY was time to have a baby! HOWEVER....I had to shave my legs 1st! It had been a week and I couldn't let the doctors talk about me! Here we are before we left for the hospital--we had just enough time to sneak in a quick picture!
My labor was fairly fast--less than 7.5 hours from start to finish. I told them when I went in that I wanted the epidural, and after that came, I was a happy camper--couldn't feel my legs, but a happy camper nonetheless!
Here is our angel: He is a carbon copy of his daddy--starting with his dark red hair!
