Day 7--Sacile/Pordenone

We were so exhausted that this morning we slept until the late hour of about 9/10am! Courtney showed me all the stuff she had so far for "the boys", which was fun for both of us, and we basically did a lot of nothing all morning. She realized though that she'd better show us around a little bit because reposo (Italian naptime after lunch!) would start around 12:30 or 1:00 and if we wanted to see the town, we had to get out of the house! We toured their town, Sacile, and were able to walk to everything, which was great! (By the time we left, we knew our way to 2 different gelato places!)

Here we are in the center of town where the river runs. The white things hanging down are for kayakers to go through as an obstacle course type event when the river gets higher. Sister pic and Steph/Jeff pic!

Evan had to work all morning since he had an inspection coming up at the base, so when he got home, we headed out to Pordenone, a larger town about 15-20 minutes away from Sacile. It was pretty dead when we got there since it was still "reposo", but it was amazing how quickly people literally came out of the woodwork in order to go back to work! We went to a coffee bar, then a real bar, and had a great time!

Cappucini anyone? Why yes--we'll take 3!

Here are the Epsteins--don't worry....only 3 of us had the prosecco!

Ahhh...the beginning of our wine/prosecco evening! The Epsteins know how to welcome us!
