Shopping

It's time to do a little back to school shopping, but when you're on a tight budget and just want to be on "What Not to Wear" in order to get $5000, it's a little different! I'm such a t-shirt shopper that I have to stop myself and make myself get something other than a t-shirt to wear to school (although by April I could care less, the kids could care less, and that's pretty much what I end up wearing every day).

Shopping while you're working on your weight is no fun either. I started back on WW (that's Weight Watchers for you people who can lose weight on your own) last Monday and even though I really do like the rules, tracking, etc., it doesn't help with the shopping. I think that when you sign up they should just give you a personal shopper about a month or two into the program. THAT would motivate me! Don't get me wrong...I'm motivated now....but the excitement of a personal shopper who could fit my body style would be great!

So...I do love JCPenny's and drove on over today since I had nothing better to do--yeah right! Anyway...my new favorite brand to try on and make myself feel good is their Worthington brand. My size was too big in their "Curvy" fit. (I'm not built like a rectangle--this woman's got lots 'o curves here!!) I also tried on a cute jacket that was slightly too big, but I ended up buying it anyway b/c they didn't have any smaller ones and hey--it wasn't a t-shirt. Mom will tell me if it looks okay. Yes, I still ask mom if things look good. Having 3 girls, she's got a pretty good eye!

If I could buy a few pairs of pants before school starts, that will be good too. I cleaned out the closet REALLY well when Jeff moved in and now I'm afraid to see what I need to replace! Until next time...I will be dreaming of fitting once again into my skinny jeans (they saw the light 2 years ago after losing 20 pounds in 2 months of WW---and then went back into the darkness b/c I hit my goal and stopped WW---what a dummie I was!)

Shopping for clothes for me has to be the MOST depressing thing ever. Bobby went with me last time though and I must say, he picked up tops I never would have that looked great. I found some Dockers and Gloria Vanderbuilt that actually looked really good on me. I think it's all about finding the right cut. Ugh, to be two sizes smaller again.
