So...those of you who have talked to me via email/Facebook/phone/etc. know I haven't been too happy with school this year. It's just one of those years and I'm ready for it to be finished. And the good news...one semester is almost done!
8th graders have finals this week, which means that I've got kids coming and going in my classes--as well as my regular 6th/7th graders that are already there. (all my classes are mixed grade levels of 6/7/8th graders) Now that leads to lots of questions--to which I now let the older kids answer since they're so smart! And...it leads to me having 3 of my "not so favorite" lovelies for 3 HOURS on Wednesday---yes---3 HOURS!!!! AHHHHHHH!!!!
Anyway...it is now officially 3.5 more days until I wish their parents a joyous holiday full of 24 hour days with their angels.
Insanity comes in other shapes and sizes too: my dog! My back door has no doorknob--just a lock (thanks to the previous owners) and Chip knows how to open it (we're still working on the closing part--but no luck yet!). No biggie--except that today, he got in at some point and scared the cleaning ladies. So...the company called and told me that my "dogs" were barking and scaring the ladies, and I had to get someone to cover my class and go home to put him back outside. They'd already gone to another house by this time, so I had to call and say it was "all clear"! Chip met me at the garage door, wagging his tail and he was just so happy! I could almost hear him speak amid his panting...
"Mom! What a great day! 1st I got the door open--and then I barked at these ladies...who ran away and wouldn't pet me for some reason. Then they left...so I figured I'd just hang out here until you got home. I'm so glad you're home early! Are we going to play? Are we? Huh? Huh? (Wag, wag, wag, lick, lick, lick, pant, pant, jump, etc.... you get the point) Let's go for a walk? What? You want me to go back outside? That's no fun! Are those ladies going to come play again? Huh? Huh??"
I'd imagine it would go something like that anyway! He was just so cute--and anyone who knows Chip knows he is such a lover and would rather play than bite. Problem is...we've had him around some small dogs and he thinks he's their size and well...he's not! His bark is much bigger than his bite!
However..on a great note: Jeff and I had a great weekend together. We have been so busy lately with holidays and school that we have just not had much time together--even when we're together. We even found a church we liked yesterday--West Conroe Baptist--so that's a plus. I love going to church at Christmastime--that's my favorite! Plus...we'd really like to find somewhere we both like and we were glad we hit upon this one!
And...as of yesterday we're down to the 3 month mark---whoa!!! Amy told me today it will fly by faster than I know---and I'm kind of okay with that (b/c it means school will be that much closer to over as well!!!).

hey hey! She lives! Hang in there on the school bit! I keep waiting and hoping this week flies by and I get done all that needs to so I don't have to come in next week or the week after either! We can do it!!!
Awww .. Chip is so cute!!! And Sophie's got the big dog syndrom -- at all of 4.5 pounds she thinks she's Chip's size. It's hilarious! The big dogs look at her like "what is up with you little bit?" when she starts at 'em!
It was so great to see you last week! We should get together more often!
Merry Christmas!!
I agree on the getting together--definitely! And Chip has little dog syndrome and loves those little yappy ones!
