Gorgeous Day!

I don't know what type of weather everyone else had, but over in Port Arthur today it was gorgeous! We decided that Chip deserved a day at the beach (or at least a few hours)! He LOVED the beach! He's been in lakes, bays, rivers, on boats, etc., but the beach was a brand new experience! From the moment he jumped out to the moment he got back in, he went full throttle! He had a blast chasing birds (he got that from his human daddy, who also loves to aim for them when driving the CG boats!!!), and even tested out jellyfish (dead ones)--but he was so curious since they were squishy!

Jeff and I enjoyed a great walk on the beach while Chip did all this--and more! This just so happened to be the very same beach we went to after meeting each other, so that was a fun memory! The beach was part of McFadin State Park, and since it's not too far from Port Arthur, it's perfect!

We also took advantage of our time together to shop for a new sofa--Grandmother Ruth's old one has almost seen it's last day. Didn't find one, but at least we got some ideas. Went to Dillard's to see if they had furniture at the one in Beaumont (which they didn't), so we did some registering there---Jeff is so much more patient with that than I am!
